About
The Center is a non-profit, run mostly by volunteers striving to make the world a better place for LGBT people and
their allies. Through advocacy, programming, and outreach, we hope to make our 11 county area a better place.
The Center was incorporated and granted nonprofit status in 2004. The Center is recognized as a charitable organization for tax purposes.
Mission Statement
We are a voice and presence promoting understanding and building connections regarding sexual orientation and gender identity.
Vision Statement
We are a recognized leader regarding sexual orientation and gender identity issues, advocating and collaborating for equality, dignity and full human rights for all.
Outreach Areas
It is our mission to serve the 11 “river” counties in western Wisconsin, northern Iowa and southeastern Minnesota. However, geographic boundaries do not restrict need. We are here to serve anyone interested in contacting The Center.

Services
The Center strives to give anyone the help they need and is hoping to be a presence in our community, serving whatever needs come up. In addition to our programming, people can enjoy a wide variety of services.
Meeting Space
We’re thoroughly enjoying settling in our new space in La Crosse. We’d love to see it bustling with activity everyday. Inside, we have a welcome room, a sizable meeting space, a library, a room full of comfy chairs and couches, and a kitchen space. In other words, from personal to professional, there’s a space for whatever our members need.
We can configure the conference room any way you’d like for up to 24 seated. We also have a projector/screen that can be used!
We’d also love to see our space used more regularly for weekly or monthly programs. You never know what others in the community are interested until you try.
