In the beautiful Root River Valley of southeastern Minnesota, the City of Houston lies in “the best of bluff country.” The community offers the conveniences of modern life paired with a charming, small-town feel.

Houston, along with its Trailhead Park, is the eastern terminus of the Root River Trail. The Park is home to a nature center, natural playground, band shell, and sites for primitive camping.
Other opportunities for enjoyment in the community include multi-purpose Bluffview Community Park, the International Owl Center, close proximity to golf courses and ranches, and more than a few annual events.
