Older, Wiser, Livelier, Souls for the 2025 grand tour of the Silos and Smokestacks
National Heritage Area. September’s destination will be a visit to Cedar Rock by Frank
Lloyd Wright in Quasqueton, Iowa. Please meet at Osborne Park at 9:00 to carpool to
our destination on September 25th. *Please note date change, this trip is one week later
than our usual Thursday.
This O.W.L.S. adventure will take you to Quasqueton to tour Cedar Rock, The Walter
House, built by renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright. Cedar Rock was built in Wright’s
Usonian Style characterized by living simply and in harmony with nature and is one of
his best examples of this style of architecture.
