May 24 & 25, 2024 – Them Coulee Boys with Crooked Willow /Molly Brandt– Trempealeau, WI

When Them Coulee Boys come here to visit, they do it with a bang. In February they played at the Performing Arts Center of Beau’s alma mater, Galesville – Ettrick – Trempealeau High School. For a school gig, things got a little rowdy – all due to their fiercely loyal, hugely appreciative and dance-happy audience. On Memorial Day Weekend the self-described “punk-grass” quintet returns to the venue of their first paid gig – the Trempealeau Hotel.

About Crooked Willow
As musical nuclei, Tim and Elisi Smith-Waller supply the guitar and banjo work plus the vocals and harmonies one would deem necessary, for that beautiful Americana, Folk and Roots feeling. To round out the heartwarming experience with fiddle, bass and more harmonies, Jessie McDonald and Erik Hanson complete the fabulous four piece.

About Molly Brandt
Saturday’s opening act is from the Twin Cities via Colorado and Iowa. Her musical career took a similarly meandering path: From classical piano to show-choir and excursions into the world of jazz, Molly found her way to songwritting and Americana during the pandemic – and never looked back (well, maybe a couple of times). In 2023, Brandt released her debut album, “Surrender to the Night”, which blends honky-tonk, countrypolitan, and alt-rock influences. Her fiery delivery, memorable attire, and evocative lyrics captivate audiences.
