Viroqua, Wisconsin is one of the most beautiful and unique small cities in Wisconsin, if not the entire nation. Viroqua is located on a ridge in the Ocooch Mountains of Southwestern Wisconsin. It is known as the “driftless” or “unglaciated” region because the ice glaciers didn’t reach the area, leaving spectacular ridges, bluffs, valleys and rolling hills. The area features numerous natural resources and outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, canoeing, cross-country skiing, skating, swimming and even Morel mushrooms hunting. Viroqua is the county seat of Vernon County and is conveniently located at the intersection of State Highways 14, 27, 61 and 56. Interstate I-90 lies 30 minutes north of the city.
