Then hit the trails on Barn Bluff, Memorial Park, Welch Village, or the Cannon Valley Trail for hiking, rock climbing, biking, mountain biking, disc golf, cross-country skiing, snowboarding, downhill skiing. There are several golf courses with gorgeous views of the Mississippi River, marinas to get you out of the water to enjoy boating, fishing, SUP, and kayaking and scenic roads made for epic motorcycle rides.

For a more leisurely getaway, take in eagle watching along the river at one of our many public parks, stroll through the locally owned shops, grab a bite at one of the many restaurants, the brewery, or wineries. Scenic views can be enjoyed by car, boat, bike, or foot.

Our many museums offer a glimpse into our history while being interactive and fun. Visit the Red Wing Shoe Store and Museum where you will find the World’s Largest Boot, flagship store, clearance center, and a free museum that tells the story of our famous boots. The Pottery Museum of Red Wing is also free and has over 6,000 pieces of pottery dating back to the early days before refrigeration through the days where production focused on art pottery. The Goodhue County Historical Society is a wonderful resource for information about the people, geography, and history of the area. The History Center has ongoing exhibits, featured exhibits, Free Family Fun Days, and speakers throughout the year.
