“Eau Claire” is French for “Clear Water.” Frontman of Bon Iver and Eau Claire native, Justin Vernon, founded a huge 
music festival in our city in 2015 named “Eaux Claires.” Eau Claire is host to SIX large music festivals and that number is growing rapidly. There are two rivers that run through Eau Claire, the Eau Claire Eau Claire River and the Chippewa River; their meeting point in downtown Eau Claire is appropriately called “The Confluence.” As you can see, there is a lot to learn about Eau Claire.
