\"\"W<\/span><\/strong><\/span>heaton Park is located at 3900 38th Street Elk Mound, Wisconsin.\u00a0 A second entrance is located right across the street from 3601 40th Street, just 2.5 miles west of the intersection of County T and Highway 29.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Wheaton Park consists of 63 acres with a large portion being wooded and has many amenities to offer the outdoor enthusiast including:\u00a0 updated playground equipment, tennis court, basketball court, gaga ball, ball fields, batting cages, sledding hill, an ice skating rink, trails with different terrains, butterfly garden, snowmobile trailer parking with trail access, picnic table areas, reservable pavilions, and a Little “Take a Book. Share a Book.” Library!<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Wheaton Ball League<\/span><\/h5>\n

The park boasts 3 baseball fields and is the home filed of the Wheaton Ball League, which has been a part of the township for 46 years! The league is completely volunteer run and is all about the kids having fun playing ball and learning the game!\u00a0 Programs are available for kids age 4 to 14.\u00a0 More information is available on Town of Wheaton website under <\/span>Wheaton Ball League<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Wheaton Park Trail System<\/span><\/h5>\n

The park’s trail system has <\/span>1.5 miles of finished trails for hiking, running, walking, and biking, and snowshoeing in the winter! <\/span>For winter recreation, Wheaton Park also has, a <\/span>sledding hill<\/a>, <\/span>ice skating<\/a> rink and <\/span>snowmobile<\/a> trailer parking with trail access to state trail 33 and Wheaton Trail.\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Wheaton Park Butterfly Garden<\/span><\/h5>\n

The Butterfly Garden was developed in 2021 in partnership with a Chippewa Valley Master Gardeners<\/a> grant in order to further conservation efforts in the park and provide monarch conservation that helps with monarch migration in North America.\u00a0 The butterfly garden is a registered Monarch Waystation<\/a>. It is <\/span>located on the east side of 38th Street when entering the park and has a wide range of different plant species that are tagged for educational purposes.\u00a0 Plus there is a picnic table and bench for seating!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/b>Wheaton Park Little Free Library <\/span><\/h5>\n

The park’s Little Free Library<\/a> was created in 2023.\u00a0 It is located next to the tennis court parking lot, open year round and holds books for all ages!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

“Take a Book” for reading in the park or other places.\u00a0 Anyone may take a book – neighbors, park visitors, even passersby – the books are always free!<\/span><\/p>\n

“Share a Book” for others in the Little Free Library.\u00a0 Book donations are welcome at this Little Free Library!<\/span><\/p>\n

It really is that easy!<\/span><\/p>\n

Find a map of the park’s trail system and directory and check pavilion availability on their website as well as find information on <\/span>the <\/span><\/span>Wheaton Park Ornamentation Project Campaign<\/a>; who’s goal is to provide social, recreational, and economic benefits to residents and non-residents, making the township more attractive to new citizens and businesses.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
